Happy St. Patrick's Day (you best be wearing green or I'm giving you a virtual pinch!) and welcome to the American Crafts blog hop! I hope you've enjoyed seeing everyone's projects so far! Here's my project:

WATCH ME GROW

Tips & Tricks: My favorite new American Crafts product is the plastic rose brads and patterned buttons! Here's how I made this layout: I designed a fancy-edged shape in Adobe Illustrator, printed it out, cut it out, then traced it onto white cardstock and cut it out. I stitched three borders around the edge using contrasting brown thread then added a plethora of brads and buttons around the border. I cut out mini photos of my weekly pregnancy belly shots and lined them up in a 6 x 6 grid on the background and stitched straight lines between each photo using white thread. I popped some of the pictures off the page with dimensional adhesive (there's no rhyme or reason as to the ones I chose, just whatever I thought looked best). I placed chipboard border stickers on the edges, added a Thickers title, then wrote my journaling around the edges. I like that prongs from the brads made the white cardstock stick off from the background patterned paper.

Journaling says: We found out really early on that I was pregnant and so every Sunday before church took a picture of my growing belly. It was a fun challenge to try and put together a new outfit to accommodate my expanding stomach. Fox made his debut at 39 weeks and 6 days. I'll definitely do these weekly photos with every baby that we have.

Supplies: Cardstock, patterned paper, brads, buttons, vinyl dimensional flower sticker, letter stickers, chipboard border stickers, pen, adhesive: American Crafts; Paper cutter, scissors: Fiskars; Sewing machine: Brother; Thread: Coats & Clark

    love the LO- I only have one bump picture from my three pregnancies ( you can tell I wasn't a scrapper then) its a view from here photo - a huge bump and tiny feet somewhere in the distance- I love those rose brads too ( But I have found some earrings that are similar but smaller that I have repurposed!

    I absolutely LOVE buttons and little embellishments, I design cards, layouts on scrapbooking and jewellery with them. Love the die cut frame you made with Watch Me Grow layout, simply stunning well done :)
