Toucan Layout by Audrey Mutschall

Hello again friends! It’s Audrey Mutschall here with a fun layout featuring Paige’s Toucan Cut File and the gorgeous Blooming Wild collection. I love scrapbooking life’s everyday moments, so that’s what this layout is all about. I came downstairs one morning and my daughter was climbing the cupboards to reach a cereal bowl, and she proceeded to pour herself a bowl of Froot Loops and milk, despite my offers to help her. She insisted that she could do it herself and was so proud of her independence that I couldn’t resist snapping a few photos to document the moment.
I used white cardstock for the Toucan Cut File and backed it with navy polka dot paper and ombré striped paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad as well as watercolor Paper 18. I thought my toucan should rest on a branch, so I used Paige’s Berry Branches Cut File and backed it with various green papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad. My background is white cardstock that is lightly inked using Catherine Pooler inks and Paige’s Flower Garden Background stencil. I added a strip of plaid Paper 3 along the bottom of the layout and in the upper left corner, as well as a narrow strip of green floral Paper 5. I printed two photos and matted them with blue floral Paper 8, then embellished the layout with fussy cut flowers from Paper 2 and a Chipboard Round in the upper left corner. My title uses Thickers and shiny metallic mini alphas from the Sticker Book and I embellished the toucan with a googly eye and a cute little bow-tie made from the pink heart paper in the 6x8 Paper Pad.
I had so much fun creating this layout and I hope it inspires you to document those ordinary, everyday moments using Paige's cut files and Blooming Wild collection!
