Hot Air Balloons Layout by Audrey Mutschall

Thursday, July 31, 2025

Hello friends! Audrey Mutschall here with a new layout featuring Happy Haven and lots of hot air balloons!
I wanted to use a variety of pretty patterns together on one page and came across the idea to make hot air balloons using a simple heart shape. The papers I chose for the hearts were Paper 4 (both sides), Paper 5 (both sides), Paper 6, and Paper 8. I cut five hearts from each patterned paper, scored them down the middle, folded them in half, and then glued the back half of one heart to the back half of another heart, creating a dimensional hot air balloon. I varied the size of the hearts for each patterned paper so that I’d end up with different sizes of hot air balloons. I chose a piece of blue cardstock for my background and added a curvy piece of Paper 9 at the bottom to create a hill. I hand-stitched along the hill with variegated embroidery floss to add a little extra color and texture. I matted my photo with a piece of plaid paper from the 12x12 Project Pad and adhered it at the bottom of the page. I arranged the hot air balloons around the page, added little baskets and strings made from embroidery floss, and then filled in some of the space with puffy white cardstock clouds and sequins. Lastly, I embellished with Floral Die Cuts, Cardstock Stickers, and Journaling Die Cuts.

So Full of Love Embroidered Layout by Paige Evans

Wednesday, July 30, 2025

You can watch the replay below:
First I walked through my entire Lovely Lane collection with Pinkfresh Studio. I love sharing my love for this line :) Pre-orders for Lovely Lane & Legendary will open in my shop on August 11th.
Then I demonstrated how to do my three favorite stitches: the French knot, the chain stitch, and the back stitch.
I mentioned that I have a highlight on my instagram for thread colors to match my collections. Here are the Lovely Lane threads:
I shared that I always use all 6 strands except in rare instances, actually including this layout! I divided the thread into 3 strands to do the details inside the leaves.
I use a Dritz crewel size 2 needle for all my stitching pages.
I also brought in about 10 different layouts with hand stitching, basically all of the layouts on my display wall in my happy scrappy place lol. What can I say, the hand stitched pages are my favorite.
And we talked about the fact that hand stitching is definitely a time commitment, this page alone took about 10-12 hours and I've had a layout take upwards of 30 hours before, but to me, it's always worth it. You don't have to sit down and stitch it all in one go. Stitch a little here and there, between chores, in bed at night, on long flights (you can bring a needle and sewing kit scissors), during road trips, etc. Start with something small like a tag, and then if you're into it, you can stitch something bigger!
I hope this Lunch & Learn was helpful and gives you the itch to stitch!! :) Let me know if you have any questions and see you again soon!

Quilted Layout by Ashley Neu

Hi friends! It’s Ashley Neu here for the Paige Evans Design Team to share my final project. It’s been such a joy to work with Paige’s products for so long. You will still continue to see me share projects with Paige’s collections because I just love them that much! Today’s layout features Paige’s Happy Haven collection and was heavily influenced by an Allison Davis sketch. I love the background because it looks like it could be a baby’s quilt! How fitting for some pictures with a new bundle of joy!
To begin, I grabbed some patterned papers from the 12x12 Project Pad and cut pieces that measured 1x1”, 1x2”, 1x3” and 2x2”. I didn’t really count how many I was cutting out, I just guessed on how many I would need of each size. To create the pattern, I sort of followed Allison’s sketch in the beginning, but eventually veered off after I had gotten the hang of it. I adhered all of these pieces onto a sheet of 12x12” white cardstock. Next, I adhered my 3 photos onto another piece of white cardstock and cut them out to look as if they were a filmstrip. To create the title, I used stickers that I found in the 12x12 Project Pad and Cardstock Stickers. I wanted to say a little bit about why these photos are so precious so I added a journaling banner from the Journaling Die Cuts. I also added Floral Die Cuts. I just want to take a moment to thank Paige for allowing me to be on her amazing team! It’s truly been an honor. Thank you for stopping by Paige’s blog and have a wonderful day!

Wildflowers Layout by Valerie Bisson

Monday, July 28, 2025

Hi crafty friends! Valerie Bisson here today and I’m so happy to share a new layout with you featuring Paige’s Happy Haven collection and her Wildflowers and Leaves cut files.
I started with Paper 14 from Adventurous for a beautiful sky background. Next I cut all my cut file pieces at varying sizes so that I could lay them across the lower part of the page with taller pieces on the outer edges and getting smaller towards the middle. For the Wildflowers cut file I used the lavender paper from the 12x12 Project Pad and for the Leaves cut file I went with the leafy paper also from the 12x12 Project Pad. Instead of just arranging the cut files on top of the sky paper, I decided to add in another paper for more interest. I adhered all the cut files to Paper 1 then tore it just a bit larger than the height of the flowers and leaves following the shape of them and then placed it on top of the sky paper. Next I tucked my photo in on the left third of the page. Following this I chose a phrase from the Foam Stickers for the title and embellished with pieces from the Cardstock Stickers, Floral Die Cuts, and Journaling Die Cuts, all arranged around and near the photo. Lastly, I splattered a little bit of white acrylic paint across the page.

Grateful Layout by Sophie Delorme

Thursday, July 24, 2025

Hello scrapbook friends! Sophie Delorme here today and I am happy to share this layout with you using Paige's Happy Haven collection!
I cut an 8" square piece of Paper 4 and placed it in the center of my page. I machine stitched on each row and column of color with white thread. I added a smaller vellum square on top of the patterned paper and used foam dots under it where my photo and flowers are to hide them. I placed my sweet photo on the lower left quadrant of the vellum and created a diagonal rainbow cluster of flowers using the Floral Die Cuts and fussy cut flowers from Paper 1. My title is from the Foam Stickers. I am so happy with the result! I hope this is inspiring for you!!

Wildflower Layout by Phil Donahue

Wednesday, July 23, 2025

Hello scrappy friends! Phil Donahue here happy to be back on Paige's blog with a fun & floral layout featuring the ever-inspiring Happy Haven collection! This layout features one of my favorite candid photos of my niece wearing a cute peach outfit that perfectly coordinated with the colors in this collection. I loved this photo so much I featured it twice on the layout!
To begin, I used the tiny floral pattern from Paper 9 as my base 12x12 backdrop. I cut a mint cardstock from the 12x12 Project Pad to 11x11 then a sheet of white cardstock to 10.75x10.75 and adhered them in concentric squares. This is a perfect opportunity to conserve supplies and cut the unexposed paper and color cardstock to save for later use! Next, I cut 4.5" squares out of various patterns including both sides of Paper 1 and Paper 7, along with some with foil accented papers from the 12x12 Project Pad and cut each on a bias to create triangles. I adhered them to the white cardstock using foam adhesive to create multi-pattern squares, leaving most of the left side blank. Then I filled the blank area with Floral Die Cuts. This is a great way to use up floral die cuts and to add a burst of energy to any page! I adhered my photos and a title from the Foam Stickers along with a sentiment from the Cardstock Stickers. Final touches were placing coordinating enamel dots and even more small florals all around the page to complete the layout! I hope you found some inspiration and choose to try Paige's Happy Haven collection for your future crafting projects!

Enjoy Layout by Monique Lowe

Tuesday, July 22, 2025

Hi scrappy friends! Monique Lowe here sharing a new layout using Paige’s beautiful Happy Haven collection!
To start, I worked on creating a decorative panel for my layout. I cut a strip of white cardstock to 6x12" and distressed the long edges using my scissors for a soft, textured look. I then trimmed five uneven strips from Paper 9 and used my fringe scissors to add a fun, textured detail. I adhered them to the panel, leaving white space between each one, and finished the bottom edge with a thin strip of the same patterned paper. To add a bit of whimsy, I used a heart punch on a selection of Happy Haven patterned papers, pierced a hole in the center, and threaded the hearts along embroidery floss, color-coordinated and embellished with tiny seed beads and sequins. I wrapped each thread around the panel between the fringed layers following a cheerful rainbow sequence. For my base, I chose a bold pink and gold polka dot paper from the 12x12 Project Pad and placed the decorative panel slightly off-center to the left. To frame it, I tucked in strips of white and pink patterned paper from the 12x12 Project Pad along with a pink manufacturer’s strip for extra detail. I added hand stitching down both sides of the panel to add texture and balance. For the photo, I kept it simple – just a black & white picture backed with Paper 4 and a few Floral Die Cuts for embellishment. I finished it off with a gold-edged tab from the Journaling Die Cuts and a text sticker from the Project Pad for my title. Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope this layout inspires you to mix texture, color, and simple techniques to create something beautiful using the Happy Haven collection!

Memories Layout by Jackie Ashton

Monday, July 21, 2025

Hey friends! Jackie Ashton here today sharing a layout using Paige's new Happy Haven collection!
I started by selecting some of the patterned papers from the 12x12 Project Pad and cut them into strips to go vertically down the left side of my page. I added a piece of Paper 9 horizontally. Before adding any papers to my cardstock, I applied stencil detail using yellow ink to give the layout added interest. I backed my 3x4 photograph with patterned papers from the Project Pad, leaving a slight border around the edge, and added 3D foam behind to give it dimension before adding it to the left side of my layout. I got the title from the Project Pad. Then I placed Floral Die Cuts and Journaling Die Cuts around my page. I adore these lovely Tassel Charms and used the one with the blue butterfly and added more butterflies from this collection around the page. I love how this layout came together! Until next time!
