I didn't think we did much in June and I guess as a family we didn't go & do many things but holy moly I need to learn how to balance work/life better... been working too hard. Anyway, here's what we were up to in June 2025! Let's start with a photo of Amy - Queen of the Washi Tape Tower.
Chris and Fox & Jane on Father's Day! So grateful for him, without Chris I couldn't get half the things done that I do. And he's the best personal trainer! I reached over 4000 pounds on my work sets the last week of June!
Our flowers looked pretty good at the beginning of June! Then it got hot and they start dying.
While my mom was still in town at the beginning of June we drove Fox down to Colorado Springs to attend FSY at the University of Colorado Springs.
I have an eerie feeling that this is exactly what it's going to be like in just a few years when we drop him off at college and it'll be here before we know it because time isn't fair like that.
Fox wasn't thrilled with the whole idea but by the end of the week he had made friends and was having fun. Next year both Fox & Jane will get to go.
I failed pre-ordering a Nintendo Switch2 from GameStop or any online source so at 5am on the release day Chris went to Target and was able to score one. Fox was a very happy boy!!
Fox is such a ham.
Spending lots of time outside soaking up the sunshine and reading.
I read The Return, The Wish, and started Dreamland - all by Nicholas Sparks.
I bought the complete collection of Nicholas Sparks books back in 2022 and since then he's written 2 more books - it's taken me 3 summers to read through all of them. The Wish is my absolute favorite book in the world though - I've read it 3 times and cry like a baby every time.
Embracing my curls.
After highlighting my roots.
40-sporty-shorty.
Treated myself to a fun floral pair of Betsey Johnson shoes. They're so ME!
We took the kids to Perry's for Father's Day dinner. The sat us in the "kids corner" lol.
I spy a rainbow.
Love this view every time we exit and enter our neighborhood. It never gets old.
Jane went to Girls' Camp. She has a bug phobia and didn't enjoy being outdoors. Another story about Jane, one night when Fox was with his friend we watched Titanic with Jane (we skipped over a couple scenes.) Titanic came out in 1997 when I was 12 and now we just watched it with Jane who is 12. She loves Avatar also directed by James Cameron and all-things Titanic/Molly Brown so I think she enjoyed it but she's in quite a moody phase so I don't really ever know. Teenagers are fun :)
We watched the first season of Stranger Things! Fox loved it. Again, I never know with Jane. The 5th and final season comes out Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years. Interesting marketing strategy. The kids are in their 20s now. Why has it taken so long to release just 5 seasons? Anyhoo. It's fun having older kids and sharing interests with them.
I watched my first ever live trial - Lori Vallow Daybell vs Brandon Boudreaux. She was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder against her nephew. She's literally a serial killer. It was fascinating to watch live.
We listened to Starset like it's nobody's business all throughout June. They are so gosh dern good. Can't wait to see them at a concert someday hopefully sooner than later! Definitely not on the Carnival cruise they're doing next year after watching Poop Cruise on Netflix lol, IYKYK.
You may or may not have noticed I didn't add photos or talk about our House Finches. The last batch of babies all turned into falcon/hawk/magpie food and I am absolutely distraught about it. I think we're going to cover the nesting lamp, my heart can't take it anymore. Nature is so cruel.

Onto the kitties!! Can't believe Amy is 4 this summer and Sandy is 3!!! Time flies. They're the best cats in the whole wide world :)
They like to sit on/in the tub as I'm getting ready / sitting in my office window
hanging out in the cabinets while I exercise / chilling on one of my scrap tables while I work
I took a bajillion pics of Amy this month. She loves to climb on the highest thing she can which this past month was a lot of boxes. She found a new sleeping spot in the corner of our bedroom. She looks so small there. Love my Amy-wamy!
Somehow I only took one photo of just Sandy this month!! I don't know how that's even possible, she's always around too, but I must not have had my phone to capture her cute moments. It won't happen again! This has been her favorite spot this month on the bench at the foot of our bed. So comfy cozy.

Onto the scrappy things which took up my entire month!
I shared 3 layouts, 1 mini album, and 1 scrapbook in June. Click the links to see them in more detail:
On June 1st I taught a virtual class for Scrapbook & Cards Today using the summer collection by Echo Park Paper Co.
On June 18th I taught another virtual class for Scrapbook & Cards Today using my Happy Haven collection.
Genuine smile as I'm teaching because scrapbooking brings me so much JOY!
My Happy Haven order arrived! The old owner of American Crafts reached out to me last month and offered my collection to me to purchase and of course I said YES!! I had to order in ginormous quantities and was a bit nervous about that.
The elusive Paper 11 (and Paper 10, the floral transparency, and boxed cards) arrived!!!
I haven't seen any other place receive all of these items so that made this kit extra special.
All 12 Happy Haven patterned papers in the house! It's a true miracle!
Our entryway was taken over by boxes which isn't out of the ordinary. Amy loves her temporary playgrounds.
Stacks of washi tape with a sweet kitty perched atop her thrown.
Chris and I spent an entire Saturday creating 360 kits. We've spent a lot of Saturdays lately kitting.
I didn't have big enough shipping boxes on hand though so we had to pile all the kits in his office while awaiting the boxes.
This is my kind of happy mail - boxes so I can clear out the product taking over our house.
Boxing up the Happy Haven kits.
Labels printed, affixed to boxes, and ready to go!
Because Happy Haven has already been in stores for a few months so many people already have it and because I had sooooo many kits, I put them for sale at a huge discount of $99 (that's a savings of over $41 retail!). It was a good strategy because they sold out in less than 24 hours. I have held onto 120 kits as a back-up plan for Lovely Lane Weekend but I think my Lovely Lane order will be here soon. SO, we (Andrea Lake and I) will be having a virtual Happy Haven Weekend event with kits available for purchase soon!

Another project I worked on throughout June was getting prepped and ready for my 4th of July event in Wallace! The super adorable, amazing, festive, patriotic charms arrived from Emily Inspired Designs. AHHH they're so perfect!
The charms were the last piece of the kits so then I shipped out all the virtual attendee boxes.
I had a few ribbon bundles left so I snapped a pic and put them in my stories for purchase. I am hoping to have random ribbon bundles available for purchase soon, it's just one of those projects that doesn't have a pressing deadline so I keep putting it on the backburner.
Gi sent me the cutest flag sequin tote!!
It first my four 4th of July albums perfectly!
Can't wait to carry this through the airport and as we travel to Wallace.

Another project I worked on in June: my sister asked me to create a baptism scrapbook for my niece Daisy and of course I said yes! I printed out lots of photos and got started.
I used a blush pink 6x8 binder from Simple Stories along with Happy Haven and my old Bloom Street collection. I have a bunch of charms from Emily so I added the perfect one onto the spine. Notice the yellow daisy trim for Daisy!
Figuring out the order of the pages and choosing which ribbon/trim should go where.
The ribbons always bring the album to life! Isn't it gorgeous?! :)
There are a lot of blank journaling cards throughout the album for people to write notes and messages to Daisy on her baptism day. I hope I can do a finished flip through before officially handing it off to her!

Onto the next project: if my Lovely Lane order doesn't arrive in time for Lovely Lane Weekend we will use Happy Haven so I worked on my 3 layouts, mini album, and make'n'take for the event before shipping it off to Andrea to create her projects. If we do end up using Lovely Lane as planned, we will teach how to make all these projects live during a virtual event. Just waiting.... which is not my forte....
Paper beads for the win!
A table covered in Happy Haven is always a beautiful sight :)
Sneak peek of my Happy Haven mini album.
All the details will be released soon! It'll either be a Happy Haven or Lovely Lane virtual event with kits and taught by me and Andrea Lake.

Last but not least, the other big project I worked on in June was my Wooden Cassette Tape Mini Album and Layouts with Cedar House!
I brought everything onto my desk to get started on June 3rd but was interrupted many times throughout the month by all the projects mentioned above.
Got photos of all our Rain City Drive concerts printed out and sorted into chronological order.
Everything is always better when Amy is just an arm's length away.
Relatable. And so perfect for this album about a hard rock band!
I finished up my sample around June 20th and then came the real work. Scrapbooking is the fun part! Scrap-min is part of the job description but certainly not my favorite part lol.
Bringing up supplies from the basement.
Taking photos of the kit as well as the class projects.
Love the texture of the whipstitch around all the page edges!
Filming the process for the virtual class.
Collating threads.
Assembling boxes then playing the waiting game again for enamel dots that I was short-shipped.
I was hoping to release the kits in June but alas, it will be a day late on July 1st due to the aforementioned lack of enough enamel dots.
Amy atop the kits and Sandy below asking, "How do I get wings?".
Another kit and class in the books!
Other scrappy things for June:
We announced my Legendary collection! I'm so excited for this line and to document more photos of Fox. I will have pre-orders open soon, stay tuned! We're also working on a Christmas collection for this year YIPPEE!
I announced I'm teaching at Frank Garcia Studio in August using my Lovely Lane and Legendary collections with Pinkfresh Studio! Find all the info and registration HERE.Happy July 1st! I love documenting Independence Day and actually as soon as I'm done writing this blog post I'm going to go start my 4th of July album for 2025 but I don't have much time because I gotta pack to head to Wallace for our family reunion and to teach at my event!
I'll have pre-orders open for a traditional rainbow sequin album soon! The pastel ones will be here within a couple weeks so if you pre-ordered one it'll make its way to you soon!
June was crazy busy and I don't think July will be any less busy - hoping to work on my just for fun personal project (the 4th of July 2025 scrapbook - but usually personal projects get put on the backburner), and then do a Christmas in July kit with an older Pinkfresh Studio collection, and make ribbon bundles, and most importantly create my projects for Lovely Lane Weekend! Oh and we're going to Wallace, Vegas, and Steamboat Springs! I'm already stressed lol. But bring it on!
