Hello scrappy friends! Phil Donahue here happy to be back on Paige's blog with a fun & floral layout featuring the ever-inspiring Happy Haven collection! This layout features one of my favorite candid photos of my niece wearing a cute peach outfit that perfectly coordinated with the colors in this collection. I loved this photo so much I featured it twice on the layout!
To begin, I used the tiny floral pattern from Paper 9 as my base 12x12 backdrop. I cut a mint cardstock from the 12x12 Project Pad to 11x11 then a sheet of white cardstock to 10.75x10.75 and adhered them in concentric squares. This is a perfect opportunity to conserve supplies and cut the unexposed paper and color cardstock to save for later use! Next, I cut 4.5" squares out of various patterns including both sides of Paper 1 and Paper 7, along with some with foil accented papers from the 12x12 Project Pad and cut each on a bias to create triangles. I adhered them to the white cardstock using foam adhesive to create multi-pattern squares, leaving most of the left side blank. Then I filled the blank area with Floral Die Cuts. This is a great way to use up floral die cuts and to add a burst of energy to any page! I adhered my photos and a title from the Foam Stickers along with a sentiment from the Cardstock Stickers. Final touches were placing coordinating enamel dots and even more small florals all around the page to complete the layout! I hope you found some inspiration and choose to try Paige's Happy Haven collection for your future crafting projects!
