Hello crafty friends! Rochi Villegas here sharing a new layout featuring Paige’s Tricks & Treats collection and her BOOTIFUL cut file. I wanted this page to capture the mix of spooky + magical from this photo of my daughter Rebecca all dressed up with fairy-inspired Halloween makeup.
To begin, I chose Paper 3 and Paper 4 for the background. I stitched a zigzag border all the way around the page to add texture and a handmade feel. The BOOTIFUL cut file became the star of my design and I backed it with Paper 3. I grabbed the pink flower from the Embroidery Kit and I embroidered the flower in the center for a fun pop of texture and color. I tucked in a mini tag from the Ephemera Die Cuts next to the photo where I hid my journaling on the back. Around the photo I layered skeletons, bats, florals, and bits & pieces from the Ephemera Die Cuts to bring out both the spooky side of Halloween and the whimsical magic of Rebecca’s look. This layout came together so beautifully, and I love how the details - from the stitching to the hidden journaling - make it extra special!
