This was my view from the airplane window, because I HAVE to sit by a window, the entire ride. Not above the clouds, not below the clouds, but IN the clouds. Huh.
So as we were driving in stop-and-go-traffic to my aunt and uncle's house, the car stopped working. My Malm was pressing the accelerator and nothing was happening. I turned on the hazards and we turned the car off. In the middle of traffic. And we didn't even get honked at! When we turned the car back on it started working again. Hmm.....
Even with two maps and two GPS enabled phones, we still managed to get lost once. But only once.
We met up with Tess - my best friend from San Jose where I lived until I was 10. I hadn't seen her in over 10 years. The stars seriously aligned for us. She NEVER comes to LA, but her boyfriend just happens to be in a wedding THIS weekend, of all weekends. I think I hear angels singing.
We saw some apartments today. The hardest part is finding a place that will accommodate our zoo. But I'm hopeful and we've got lots of prospects.
Nighty night!

ReplyDeleteNot exactly the weather you think of when you think of LA...Hopefully it will be sunny for you at Disneyland.
ReplyDeleteSalt Lake looks great in the sky! =) Good lunch finding an apartment...it's always fun for about 2 apartments, then it is hard!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about our kitties. They are our children. People don't understand. Plus kittys can be far less distructful then some peoples real kids. Good like finding a place!
ReplyDeleteYou've gotta find some cute pics of you and Tess as youngsters. It was so fun seeing her again.
