Halloween Layout by Monique Lowe

Thursday, October 30, 2025

Hi scrappy friends! Monique Lowe here and I’m back with a spooky new layout just in time for Halloween featuring Paige’s delightfully fun Tricks & Treats collection! This page was such a treat to make - full of color and a touch of stitching magic!

I kicked things off by fussy cutting the bold alpha letters from Paper 10. To give them added texture, I hand stitched down the center of each letter using coordinating embroidery thread. It adds a little time, but the extra interest and texture are so worth it! For my background, I chose Paper 12 and softened the pattern with a diagonal swipe of white gesso. Once dry, I arranged the stitched letters along the diagonal, then added tone-on-tone watercolors behind each one to create a subtle halo effect. It’s a great way to anchor your title and add depth without overwhelming the page. My photo found it’s perfect home inside a polaroid-style frame from the Ephemera Die Cuts. I added the date and subtitle using Mini Foam Thickers. Now for the fun part: embellishing! I added a fun sentiment using the Puffy Phrase Stickers over the title then went wild with Mini Puffy StickersCardstock Stickers, Foam Stickers, and Die Cuts. For an extra pop of fun, I added in a stitched spider web from the Embroidery Kit to the bottom left corner and a shimmery little vellum spider web peeking out from behind the letter “O” - a spooky little surprise that added just the right amount of Halloween whimsy! To tie it all together, I added three trios of stars to create a visual triangle and guide the eye across the page.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope this layout inspires you to get crafty with Tricks & Treats! Until next time, stay spooky and keep scrapping!

Best Day Ever Halloween Layout by Paige Evans

Wednesday, October 29, 2025

Just 2 more days until Halloween! Today I'm sharing the last layout I created with Tricks & Treats which I made last year for Scrapbook & Cards Today as a bonus page for the Sweet & Spooky event.
The Sweet & Spooky event kits came with custom metal dies and I just had to create with them! This page features the frame die on repeat, filled with 2" photos, and topped with the other metal dies including a skull, spiderweb, pumpkin, and tiny spider! BOOtiful!
Instead of placing the frames straight up and down as a traditional frame, I rotated them to become diamond-shaped and pieced them together like a checkerboard. I popped up some of the frames with foam squares for dimension. A title & printed journaling strips finishes up this bewitching layout!
I've loved sharing lots of layouts made with Tricks & Treats this past month! Crossing fingers & toes & even my eyes for a new Halloween collection in 2026 :)

Happy Halloween Layout by Jackie Ashton

Hello everyone! Jackie Ashton here sharing my new Design Team layout featuring Paige's Tricks & Treats collection!
I started by adding details using a stencil from my stash on my white cardstock background. I added two 3x4" photos over layers of patterned papers. Underneath my photographs I added a length of pom pom trim for extra texture. To bring in even more texture, I stitched one of the lovely embroidery pieces from the Tricks & Treats Embroidery Kit - I love this kit as it comes complete with all the threads as well as a needle - it adds both color and texture to the page. To finish, I sprinkled in Cardstock Stickers, Foam Stickers, and Enamel Dots from Tricks & Treats. What I love most about the Tricks & Treats collection is how versatile it is - from spooky cute icons to soft pastels and playful patterns, it’s perfect for documenting all kinds of fall memories!

Spooktacular Halloween Layout by Inessa Persekian

Tuesday, October 28, 2025

Hey friends! Inessa Persekian here and I’m so excited to share my latest fall-inspired layout featuring Paige's Tricks & Treats collection and her gorgeous Hexagon Wreath cut file - part of the 20 Autumn Cut Files bundle which you can find right here. For this project I wanted to create something that felt cozy, whimsical, and a little bit spooktacular - perfect for those fall photos!
I started with Paper 1 from Tricks & Treats which has a gorgeous floral and pumpkin print that instantly set the tone for the page. Then I trimmed a sheet of white cardstock down to 11" square, lightly distressed the edges, and tore small sections along the top and bottom to add texture and a touch of vintage charm. Next came the star of the show - Paige’s Hexagon Wreath Cut File! I absolutely love the floral details on this one. I backed the wreath using a mix of patterned papers from Tricks & Treats. The mix of oranges, purples, and pinks created such a beautiful mix. For my photo, I used a 4 × 4 photo and matted it on Paper 5 which added a subtle pop of contrast. Around the photo I added a few florals from the Cardstock Stickers and some stars pulled from both the regular sticker sheet, Foam Stickers and the Enamel Stickers. To tie everything together, I added a few splatters of gold mist around the wreath and photo for a hint of sparkle and warmth. The shimmer catches the light beautifully and brings the whole page to life. This layout came together pretty quickly and I love how balanced it feels - detailed yet simple enough to recreate for your own autumn memories. If you’d like to try this yourself, you can grab the Hexagon Wreath cut file here and pair it with your favorite Tricks & Treats papers. Whether you’re scrapping pumpkin-picking photos, costume snapshots, or cozy fall days, this combo is guaranteed to shine!

Halloween Title Layout by Audrey Mutschall

Monday, October 27, 2025

Hello friends! Audrey Mutschall here with a new Halloween layout featuring Paige’s amazing Tricks & Treats collection.
I started by cutting out the letters from Paper 10 and back-stitched along the dashed lines in coordinating embroidery floss colors. Next I arranged the letters onto ghost Paper 6 and decided that the letters needed more contrast from the background. I traced each letter onto black cardstock, cut out the letters, and then offset them behind the stitched letters. I added my photo to the top right section of the layout, embellishing it with a frame from the Foam Stickers. Next, I chose Floral Die Cuts, Cardstock Stickers, Foam Stickers, and Mini Puffy Stickers to decorate my large title. Lastly, I added a strip of the back side of Paper 6 at the top and bottom of the layout along with a black ric-rac border. I had so much fun creating this page and I hope it inspires you to dig out your Tricks & Treats collection and make some Halloween layouts!

She Loves Color 2025 Recap

Sunday, October 26, 2025

Last year Stephanie Smokovich, owner of Bella Blvd, reached out and asked me to teach at year TEN of She Loves Color in Brookfield, Wisconsin!
This was my 3rd time teaching at this big & fun event!
I flew into Milwaukee and caught a glimpse of Chicago on the descent. The fall colors were beautiful.
I mean right?! So pretty!
I dropped my suitcases off in my room then headed down to check out the event space.
The first couple days were warm & sunny.
Walkway connecting the hotel to the conference center.
Beautiful.
This is the hallway of the ginormous conference center.
Checking out the shop.
Stephanie brought in Very Merry Christmas! So fun to see it "in the wild."
One of each please!
Fun photo ops everywhere.
Stephanie and Nimly took the educators out to dinner.
Lisa Fonseca is about 8 days younger than me so we celebrated turning 40 earlier this year :)
Back at the event it was time for the First Look for everyone to check out what we'd be making in class, pick up a freebie, and look through my example scrapbook.
Staci Julian was the keynote speaker.
Oh hey Courtney and Cheri (and Cynthia!)! Long time no see! Actually, it had only been 2 weeks since Texas - so fun to see them again so soon!
The next day was Friday and my turn to teach all day!
We made 4 layouts in class, there were instructions and templates/cut files for 2 more bonus pages, and then I made 1 more page the day before the event for the First Look Freebie but I didn't have time to take pics or write instructions - AND there was still stuff leftover in the kit!!
Working away!
I taught three 2.5 hour classes on Friday then had all day Saturday off.
Pics with my peeps!
Thank you so much to my volunteers - I couldn't do this without them!
For dinner I went with Lisa and Katey to a yummy pizza place.
Deep dish for the win!
That evening was the ice cream social and scrappy Jeopardy.
She made pants with stickers of my face in pink all over them for the Pink Pages team. So hilarious.
I hung out with Lisa and Inessa Persekian from my Design Team all night and whenever I could on Saturday! They're so fun and sweet.
We got lunch together on Saturday.
Then we went to Michaels because Lisa needed more thread.
Fun to see this heart full of hearts representing how many years people have attended She Loves Color.
Stephanie giving the closing remarks.
All the Designer Day and She Loves Color Educators.
There were over 300 people in attendance. Wow. Just wow!
Time flies when you're having fun and year 10 of She Loves Color was no exception! SO MUCH FUN!
And guess what?!? I am planning an in-person event here in Colorado with Lisa in February 2026!! STAY TUNED FOR DETAILS!

Happy Haunting Layout by Paige Evans

Here is a fun page I made last year using Tricks & Treats!
\
Trim off the barcode strip from a full sheet of Paper 9 to use as the background. If you’d like to add hand stitching on the background, place a foam mat underneath then use a paper piercer to poke a hole through every corner of every square. Use a ruler to pierce a hole approximately every ½ centimeter between the corner holes all across the page. Use a backstitch and coordinating colors of thread to hand stitch around each colorful square. Each square takes approximately 5 minutes to stitch and there are 41 colorful squares which amounts to about 4 hours of hand stitching time. I stitched the squares that eventually got covered by photos so you can skip over those ones to save some time.
Place two 4x4” photos on opposite corners of the background with the points touching in the center of the page over the purple square. Back an orange/black polka dot foam frame sticker with a piece of the cream ghosts B-side of Paper 6, place it in the center overlapping the photos, then add a black “let’s go” sentiment from the puffy phrase stickers. Add a strip of black/white ghosts washi tape under the right photo and another piece of the same washi tape along with a black/white polka dot pennant die cut tucked above the foam frame sticker and topped with a silver skull mini puffy sticker. Flank the center foam frame with a mint “happy haunting” puffy phrase sticker with the letters overlapping the photo edges. Add mini foam Thickers at the top of the top photo to spell the names or make a caption.
Fussy cut a black cat/silver skull from a die cut and add it to the right edge of the top photo along with an orange/yellow “happy haunting” cardstock sticker, brown floral pennant die cut, and a black moth mini puffy sticker. Place a black “trick or treat” pennant die cut over white space on the bottom photo and top with a candy corn mini puffy sticker. On the top right and bottom left corners add a silver moon and cream bone mini puffy stickers and sequins attached with quartered small glue dots. Add more sequins around the middle. Add black “31” mini puffy stickers on the bottom left. Journal with a white pen below the bottom photo. Cover the photos and splatter white acrylic paint diagonally across the page to finish.
