Happy Halloween Layout by Antonia Sherlock

Saturday, October 4, 2025

Hello crafty friends - Antonia Sherlock here! It’s officially pumpkin season and I am super excited as I am sharing my first Halloween layout using Paige's Tricks & Treats collection and her Scalloped Border Background cut file.
First I cut the Scalloped Border Background from teal cardstock. Then I used the “offset” option in my Silhouette software to create a slightly wider image which I cut from charcoal cardstock. I centered the teal design on top of the charcoal one and I love how this created a defined outline, allowing the cut file to stand out. I backed the cut file with various patterned papers from Tricks & Treats, choosing small patterns and a variety of different colors. I chose Paper 6 for the background – it’s perfect with the white ghosts on a cream neutral pattern. I layered my photos on top and added a couple of embellishment clusters using the Ephemera Die Cuts & Floral Die Cuts. I added the title using a die cut banner and the Mini Foam Thickers. I completed the layout using sequins from the Sequins & Trims. I know the patterned papers are hard to find, but this Scalloped Border Background cut file is perfect to use up any leftover smaller pieces you still might have knocking about at the bottom of the drawer. Also, I kept all the negative shapes of the cut file and I will create another layout using those semi circles and more small pieces of patterned papers later on this month! Thanks so much for stopping by - I hope you find my layout inspiring!
