Hello creative friends! Monique Lowe here sharing a bright and happy new layout created with Paige’s Crafted Moments collection from Pinkfresh Studio. This page documents a sweet birthday memory with my family and the rainbow colors in this collection were the perfect match for such a joyful moment.
I began by choosing six patterned papers in a range of rainbow shades. From each one I tore a strip and trimmed it down to about 4.5 inches wide. I layered these pieces to form a vertical column down the left side of a 12x12 sheet of white mixed media cardstock. Before sticking anything down, I pulled out my watercolors and added soft washes in coordinating colors so the hues look like they’re gently seeping out from behind the patterned papers. Once everything was dry, I stuck the strips in place. Next, I fussy cut a sun from the Made of Sunlight Paper and added a few extra sunray strips using the lovely yellow Beauty Ahead Paper. I backed my photo with tissue paper and Full of Hope Paper, then layered the photo and sunshine together on the background. To build a soft, whimsical feel, I hand‑cut three clouds from plain white cardstock and arranged them around the photo and sun to create a visual triangle. From there, I dipped into the Ephemera Die Cuts and found the cutest hot air balloon, along with a sweet floral heart - perfect for building up those cloud clusters. I also fussy cut a handful of butterflies from the 6x8 Paper Pad and tucked them in for movement and color. A few Puffy Stickers added the perfect finishing touches and I completed the page with a title using the Mini Puffy Alpha Stickers.
