Hello scrappy friends! Here is a layout I made for a virtual event last year with Scrapbook & Cards Today using the Have a Great Summer collection by Echo Park and my Umbrella with Stitching Holes Cut File!
I cut the umbrella pieces from a rainbow of solid colors from the Summer collection and did a backstitch with these matching colors of DMC embroidery floss and I used all 6 strands of thread.
I pieced together the background from a cloudy sky paper and made "sand" from a fun summer icons paper. After adhering the umbrella in place I tucked two photos underneath, embellished tone-on-tone, and created a title and journaling cluster.
This layout was so fun to make! Definitely makes me eager for SUMMER!
