April 2026 Highlights

Here's a look back at our April 2026!
Johnny Jump Ups popping up through our rocks! I love flowers so much, I don't know if you know that :)
I was scrolling on Facebook and saw an ad for a burger joint in Castle Rock called Stack'd so we drove down together as a family on a Saturday and tried it out. It was aight, probably won't go back, but I appreciate making the memories!
The Easter Bunny fell asleep at like 6pm the Saturday night before so Chris and I were up at the crack of dawn filling eggs and hiding them lol.
Handsome Fox on Easter Sunday.
Fox finding his eggs around the family room.
Gorgeous Jane on Easter Sunday.
Easter egg hunting.
Gotta find 'em all!
Time for more family photos!
How did we get so lucky with our two awesome kids?!
Our family on Easter Sunday, April 5th 2026.
Me throughout the month.
I lifted 11,000 pounds on April 18th! Go me :)
I drove with my friend Tasha up to The Tilted Brick in Longmont to scrap the day away.
Valorie met us there and we got lunch across the parking lot at 300 Suns Brewing which was scrumptious! I hope we go back soon!
So fun to be at a scrapbook store and not have to teach lol! Just do my own thang! I stitched a patterned paper from Crafted Moments for iNSD 2026 next month. Sneak further down in this post.
We watched Rory McIlroy win his second Masters Tournament.
The kids had a random day off of school (still no snow days though which is incredibly rare!) so I took them to McDonald's for lunch and brought along a stitching project because I can't sit still.
With two trips to Disney parks planned within two weeks of each other, I just HAD to get my nails done Disney style! This was the inspiration photo I brought my nail tech, Phong.
And this is how they turned out! Identical! I LOOOOOVE THEM!!!!
The kids had a 4-day weekend the last weekend in April so we made the most of the days off and went to Disneyland! I did a separate recap blog post about it HERE.
"Berry & Cherry" (although I'm 100% positive it's not the same pair of house finches as the very first time) laid 4 eggs, Cherry sat on them for 2 weeks, all 4 babies hatched, and both Berry & Cherry fed and took care of them until they were about 2.5 weeks old.
When it was time for the babies to fly the nest, it seemed like allllll the house finches from the neighborhood (which, I'm taking credit for all of them being in existence ;) came to help coax them out of the nest, it was fascinating. I count about 14 house finches in this tree!

Enough about the hoomans, onto the furballs!
Sandy's appendages are always hanging off, it's so funny. Isn't that uncomfortable?!
Amy is sooooo wittle.
Big stretch!
Yes? Can I help you with something?
Sandy sitting on my ribbons. Squeezing in a tight space behind my computer. Hanging off the top of the stairs. She knocked over a photo from our wall then sat on it as if to say, "Nothing to see here!".

Time for scrappy things!
I shared (10) 12x12 layouts in April! Click on the links to take you to each post for all the details and to read more about these projects:
I made a whole lot of things in April that I can't quite share yet. Here are sneaks of 4 layouts for iNSD on May 2nd!
In hindsight, I really wish I had used this dark blue background for my Bouquet Layout!
4th of July ribbons are in the house! I will have a kit & class in June, stay tuned.
I've got a good start on some layouts for my upcoming Alaska Cruise & Crop.
I stitched the first page for my flower sequin album that I'll teach how to fill at Crafted Moments Weekend!
Never a dull moment, just the way we like it! Now bring on the best month of the year - MAY!
