Hi friends! Valerie Bisson here and I’m so happy to share my scrapbook layout with you featuring Paige’s Summer Sun & Fun Cut File paired with her Crafted Moments collection.
I started by cutting the Summer Sun & Fun Cut File from white cardstock and backed it with patterned papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad. Next I cut an offset layer of yellow cardstock to back the entire cut file, following this I added one more offset layer in black cardstock to define the edge of the cut file. After this I hand stitched the sun with a fun string art design, criss crossing the thread randomly in the space of the sun. Next I created my background with the Dream In Color Paper, on top of that I placed a piece of black and then white cardstock sized to 11.5”. Across the background I sprinkled some metallic watercolor paints in colors to coordinate. When the paint was dry I adhered the cut file and photos on an angle for a bit of whimsy. I made photo corners using a punch with various paper scraps to add onto the photos. Before adding embellishments I had the idea to draw on some faux stitching lines to the letters and outline the page - a great alternative to actual stitching. Lastly the embellishments - I included pieces from the Cardstock Stickers, Puffy Stickers, Chipboard Stickers, Ephemera Die Cuts, Rub-On Transfers, and Enamel Shapes.
