So Fresh Layout by Kelly Daye

Saturday, April 5, 2025

Hello dear friends, Kelly Daye here with my final Design Team layout. Heartfelt thanks to Paige and all of you for support and cheers throughout the years. It’s been awesome and beyond and I’m so grateful.
I don’t usually scrap about food, but “NEWS FLASH”, Edmonton just got a Krispy Kreme!! I had one, not iced nor glazed, just pure naked goodness, ha! I used one of my favorite & classic Paige Evans collections called Horizon and some of her current Adventurous collection. I made a wreath of donuts with two of Paige’s Donuts cut files, Donut 1 and Donut 2. The donuts were cut from white cardstock then I arranged them in a circle in the Silhouette Design Studio and used the Offset Tool to make a shadow of my arrangement. I also made two scalloped borders to frame my wreath and chain stitched around the edge with all six strands of pink DMC floss. I finished with gold splatters and sequins, because you know I love the sparkle! Big hugs and stay scrappy!

Hello Dolly Layout by Heidi Lewis

Thursday, April 3, 2025

Hi friends, it's Heidi Lewis here and today I am sharing my last Design Team layout using Paige's Blooming Wild collection, 3 doily cut files, and photos from a local theatre.
I was inspired by an old Paige Evans layout to paper piece a quilt-like pattern out of half-square triangles down the center of my page. I zig-zag stitched around all of the triangles to accentuate the quilted pattern. I used three different doily cut files (top left, middle right, bottom left) as mats for my photos sized to 2x3". I created my title from a combination of chipboard stickers and Thickers. I arranged a few clear stickers and chipboard stickers around each of the photos to help them pop against the busy background. I also added tone-on-tone enamel dots scattered throughout the quilt to help draw the eye up and down the page. This colorful quilt layout could be easily adapted for so many themes! Happy creating!

Vacation Memories Layout by Audrey Mutschall

Wednesday, April 2, 2025

Hello friends! Audrey Mutschall here with new layout featuring two cut files by Paige and her amazing Adventurous collection.
I’ve paired Paige’s Memories cut file with her Polaroid Frame Border design and I love how easily they fit together on a 12x12 layout. I started by cutting both designs from white cardstock. I backed the Memories title with patterned papers from the 12x12 Paper Pad and used Washi Tape and sentiments from the 8-Page Sticker Book to embellish the Polaroid Frames. Next I arranged the cut files onto Paper 6 (it’s such a fun background paper!) and added my photos behind the frames. I fussy cut a whole bunch of suitcases from Paper 3 and arranged them at the bottom of the layout. Lastly, I embellished with Mini Puffy Stickers, a Puffy Phrase Sticker, and a tag sticker.

Grateful Layout by Paige Evans

Tuesday, April 1, 2025

Here is the second layout that I taught how to create at our Spring Fling Weekend at The Scrapbook Haven store!
This page features my Large Flower Cut File backed with papers from the Whimsical 6x6 Paper Pad and individual Horizon papers. I've always loved bright colors and using lots of patterned papers on my pages and backing a cut file is a perfect way to feature colors & patterns in all the little segments!

March 2025 Highlights

Here's what we were up to in March 2025 - the highlight was flying to Hawaii for Spring Break!
I'll do a separate post for that since I took over 1000 photos :) I am who I am!
In preparation for hiking Diamond Head we took the kids on a walk up to the top of "the hill".
It was such a beautiful day, it can't be captured on camera. We could see all the way up to Boulder and down to Colorado Springs.
Red Bull released the Spring Edition which is Grapefruit Blossom. I like it. But not enough to drink it every day which is a good thing.
Kelly Daye gave me some chocolates to give to Fox & Jane and they literally ate them in 2 minutes flat. Wow lol.
We've been trying some new meals since the functional medicine place has recommended that I go gluten-free.
I haven't set up our Easter egg tree since Rachel passed away. Amy & Jill were still kittens in April 2022 and then we got Sandy and she is a big ball of mischief. But after seeing my sister's tree I decided to give it a whirl.
It's not going too great, Sandy has already destroyed one egg and I have to keep a constant eye on it. We lock it up in Chris' office overnight and when we're gone. But it's oh so pretty!
And so it begins! More Berries and Cherries in the making! (We called the original House Finches Berry & Cherry). Sorry the nest is a bit gross, they did clean it up pretty good though. This 1 egg was laid on March 31st, I bet there will be more throughout the week.
Chris has become my personal trainer and we lift together on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings. It's fun to progress to heavier weights! And I got my nails painted with flowers for Spring Fling Weekend!
I missed out on the first pre-order for one of these super cute Disneyland sweatshirts so I made sure to set my alarm for the next one!
I hope it arrives in time for our trip at the end of the month!
Hi!
Aside from Hawaii it was a pretty slow month with awesome weather. Gotta love Colorado.
*****************************************
Onto the kitties!! Our besties! Always following me everywhere.
This so rarely happens that they snuggle together and never lasts very long. Pic or it didn't happen!
Amy is ALLLLMOST purrrrfect, but she did almost knock the entire tree down as I was putting eggs on... luckily I caught it in time before it crashed. I put weights at the bottom to hopefully fix that issue.
1) Sitting in the cabinet above the counter as I was exercising. 2) Snuggling me every night. 3) Emerging from sitting in the sun.
4) She knows when we're leaving and sits on my suitcase in protest. 5) Waltzing down the hallway. 6) Peeking out from under the bed.
Saucy Sandy!
1) Loafing in front of my cardstock. 2) Asking for belly rubs. 3) Sandy also sitting in the cabinet above the counter as I was exercising.
4) Snoozing in Rachel's chair. 5) Plopped in the middle of my ribbons. 6) Eyeballing eggs. She's the culprit for one destroyed so far.
7) How she got into my bucket 4 feet off the ground remains a mystery but she slept there for HOURS. 8) Dinner please. Omg I love this photo. 9) Sandy being her cute self.
I just have to post this one separately too because I can't not.
I spied on them A LOT when we were in Hawaii. They slept under our bed almost every night.
Every day I seriously debate getting a third kitty because they bring me so much JOY!
*****************************************
Onto the scrappiness! I shared 1 mini album and eight 12x12 layouts in March. Click the links to see them in more detail:
On March 7th, 8th, and 9th 2025 Andrea, Lindsay, and I taught an event we called Spring Fling Weekend at The Scrapbook Haven store in Omaha, Nebraska! Find the recap HERE.
The day we got back from Hawaii it was back to work! We sorted almost 6000 threads for upcoming kits.
This pack of threads to match the Whatevs Collection makes my heart pitter patter!
Fun fun fun! This is a sneak of one of the layouts in my Whatevs Layouts Class PDF.
All of March was spent creating my Whatevs Kit & Camera Mini Album Class with 4 Bonus 12x12 Layouts. First I created the sample and ordered all the additional supplies, then I cut the cut files & printed the templates, then I filmed how to create the project, then we made the kits! Well, that's part of the process, there's a lot more that goes on behind the scenes ;)
Kitting day!
I released the kits to my PaigePals on Saturday March 29th at 9am and they were all gone before 9am the next day. Sold out in under 24 hours! Thank you so much friends, seriously, it means the world to me. I love scrapbooking and sharing my process and because of your support I have TONS of stuff in the works that you'll see snippets of below!
I met up with Jessica from Color Cast Designs to have a yummy lunch and pick up my order of wooden cassette mini album covers - these will be for an upcoming kit & class!
Pom pom ribbons in a rainbow of colors for the rainbow sequin album in the following photo also for an upcoming kit & class!
BE. STILL. MY. HEART. I sent Gi my vision and she brought it to life!
I received all my flag sequin albums for my upcoming 4th of July in Wallace event! She also sent me a custom tote, are you kidding me?!
I CAN'T HANDLE THE CUTENESS!!!!
There is 1 spot open to attend in-person or virtually so check out all the details HERE.
All the kits in the works as well as some of the sequin albums that I'll finally open up for pre-order on April 11th!!!!!!!
Last but certainly not least: save the dates for LOVELY LANE WEEKEND! Registration opens on Friday!
Here's to an amazing April which is almost May which is the best month :)
