The One with Inspiration and Mobiles

Thursday, February 4, 2010

I was reading the Sassafras blog yesterday and they were doing a spotlight on Jasmine Low and she was asked to share something that's inspiring her right now and I'm stealing it.

I was feeling stumped on a layout that I'd been working on all morning yesterday. Not no mo! I just love that feeling of knowing where to go next.

Moving on: Can I just say that Elsie never ceases to inspire me? That girl is the epitome of craftiness. I'll always regret not saying hi to her at CHA Winter 2008. There she was at the KI Memories booth promoting her latest Love, Elsie lines with no one around her and I was too chicken to introduce myself. I've got to get over being shy. Now that she doesn't design for KI Memories anymore, I'll just have to take a road trip out to her amazing store called Red Velvet Art in Springfield, MO. So anyways, I was reading Elsie's blog yesterday and she showed this felt mobile by Pink Perch:

Cutest thing I've ever seen, right??!! So I meandered on over to the Pink Perch etsy shop and I loved what I saw. Check it out.

Not that I'm in the market for anything baby-related, but if I was, this would be at the top of my list. One of these hand-made custom-crafted mobiles will only set you back about $80 - a steal if you ask me considering how long it probably takes to make just one. And FYI - Pink Perch was proudly included in a gift basket for Kourtney Kardashian. Right on.

And LOVE these mobiles. I'm also not in the market for a mobile, but when I am, I'll be looking for these!

p.s. Paige, are you on Tumblr?! You NEED to be if you're not. A place to keep all your inspiration (in addition to your files on your computer) photos?! AWESOME-NESS! :D

  6. Hey there, saw the mobiles on Elsie's blog and loved them too... Hope grocery shopping wasn't too stressful today - me trying to pack for the weekend with Molly alternating between clinging onto me or unpacking as soon as my back was turned was SO stressful! An hour into out journey I realised I left my iPhone at home...fingers crossed I have everything else! Really like the patchworky trees too, will check out the blog. xx
