Hi friends! Brianna Lepper here with a super fun Galentine's Day layout for you today! Since Valentine's Day is tomorrow, I thought a layout celebrating friendship would be perfect! I used Paige's Lined Hearts Background cut file along with the Truly Grateful and Pick-Me-Up collections.
I pulled white cardstock to cut the cut file out on my Silhouette Cameo. Once it was finished cutting, I went ahead and started backing the cut file using the 6x6 Paper Pad from the Pick-Me-Up collection as well as Paper 14 from Truly Grateful.

I wanted to add in a mixed media element onto my layout, so I didn't completely back the cut file and left some of the heart spaces open. I pulled the negative heart pieces and painted them all with shimmer spray from my stash. I made sure to use similar colors that matched the patterned papers that I had already pulled. Once I finished painting the hearts, I put them aside to dry so that I could continue on with my layout. I pulled Paper 23 from Pick-Me-Up and used that as the foundation for my layout. I started embellishing with the Floral Die Cuts from both Truly Grateful and Whimsical.

I added heart Epoxy Stickers and heart enamel dots from the Mixed Embellishments and layered up Journaling Spots behind my photo. I took the painted hearts from the cut file and popped them up using foam tape and adhered them down. I love the dimension that it gives and makes them stand out a little more. For my title, I used a chipboard sticker from Pick-Me-Up and layered a phrase sticker right underneath it.

I had so much fun creating this layout and I hope that I've inspired you to add mixed media onto your layout even if it's just a little bit. Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you in my next post!
