Boy Cut File 2 of 30: Arrows Background

Saturday, April 2, 2022

The 2nd of the 30 Days of Boy Cut Files went out to those who purchased them and here are three layouts created with today's Arrows Background Cut File!

For this page today I backed the Arrows Background Cut File with papers from my Wonders collection. I left a few of the arrows empty for breathing space and splattered white acrylic paint on top for a final layer of interest. The colors of all the things in Fox's room match perfectly with this collection!

Design Team Member Jennifer Rambert created this awesome layout featuring the Arrows Background Cut File and Go the Scenic Route collection! She says, "To begin with, I cut the design out of watercolor paper. I then destructured the pattern by removing a few pieces and then I glued one part at the top left and the other part at the bottom right on a white cardstock background. I added patterns with stamps that I embossed with white powder and then applied blue and green inks. I used the arrows of the cut file by embossing and coloring them the same as the background and also adding the orange color to bring pep! I then glued these arrows on the background to their original location with 3D foam for volume. I then added the photos after adding orange papers as well as pieces of cardboard for mats. I finished by adding a few arrows near the photos and then I added several birds cut out of Paper 15 here and there. I hope this layout has inspired you today!

Design Team Member Phil Donahue created this amazing layout! He says, "Hello friends! I am super excited to share my very first project as a member of Paige's Cut File Design team! This Arrows Background Cut File is super versatile and would fit nearly any theme with the appropriate backing papers! This layout features a photo of Hunter, he's the son of my best friend so I'm sort of his surrogate uncle. It was a gray fall day but his energy and smile made the day feel sunny. I backed the cut file with blue, green, yellow, and kraft patterned papers from Paige's Bungalow Lane and Wonders collections. This is a perfect cut file to use up scraps! I felt the page needed something round to contrast with the arrows so I made paper rosettes and secured them with gold hearts from the Puffy Stickers."
