March 2022 Highlights

We had a fun-filled March with family, food, friends, travel, and more!

Fox's best friend Bradee spent the night the first weekend in March and we went to Mod Pizza for dinner.

Crumbl cookies. This was my last batch for awhile. I'm back on the diet and exercise wagon - when I eat well and exercise, I feel better all around. Mentally. Physically. Productively. It transcends to every aspect of my life. That's why I do it. For me!
Gaming.
I spent 12 days from sun up to sun down scrapbooking layouts of Fox and I needed some particular photos of him to go along with my 30 Days of Boy Cut Files, so I took LOTS of pics of Fox!
Snuggles with Amy.
So Fox.
Love this boy!!
The hoodie that he wore for two weeks straight.
His cute laughing smile.
I taught Jane how to do her own hair. She also had her second to last orthodontist appointment! She gets them off May 2nd woohoo!
One day I let my hair go completely natural.
And a couple more pics of me, the human behind the scenes.
Packing for Spring Break. The kitties were curious about what was going on. I think they're figuring out that when the suitcases come out, it means we'll be gone for awhile.
Up up and away we go!
I used the flight time to do some stitching.
Bye bye Rocky Mountains!
Hello beautiful Seattle!
First mandatory stop: Blazing Bagels! We ended up going every single day. Best bagels in the world.
Then we went to Home Depot to get a sheet of plywood for bookbinding covers.
While my dad and I were at Home Depot the rest of the family went to Fred Meyer for groceries. There was a Pokemon vending machine. What the what?! So fun!
This is the first time we've been back to Redmond since October 2019. It's been awhile! But some things never change. Like these beautiful plants and the painting in the pool room.
The first night I had so much fun going through all my mom's closets and bins and drawers finding all my collections I've sent her throughout the years! Somehow I missed sending her Horizon?? But anyway, here is what I captioned this pic on instagram: "20 years ago when I was 16 years old my mom took me to downtown Redmond, WA to find a job. When we walked into Yesterdays Scrapbooking & Stuff they didn't even have any paper applications, they just wrote down my name and phone number. I was so surprised when they called me in for an interview and even more surprised when I got the job! From that one single moment in time, the course of my entire life since then was set on a path that I never could have dreamed possible! Now here I stand, in my childhood home, with 12 signature collections sprawled out along her office floor. She likes to take credit for it all, as she absolutely should! :) Because 10000% if it weren't for her, none of this would be here! So, thank you mom! Love you!!!"
The next morning we drove to Albertsons for a few more groceries. It was the last time we saw the sun the whole trip lol. 'Tis March in Seattle!
We went to church on Sunday, it was crazy to see some people I hadn't seen in over 19 years!
My dad turned the pool heater on and the kids swam every single day.
Eric, Tanya, Zoe, and Wes came over and swam.
Each family made their own pizza for dinner.
We did a whole lot of this during our vacation: chilling. It's the best. I very rarely just chill :)
Ice cream cookie sandwiches for dessert made with my dad's famous Chocolate Chip Cookies (CCCs).
The next morning I helped my mom make tassels for her Etsy shop.
In the afternoon we drove downtown to get lunch at Fat Burger and then went to Ben Franklin. I love that store! So fun to see my product out in real life.
That night we drove over to Eric and Tanya's house to watch The Bachelor finale and eat Thai food. Fox was in HEAVEN checking out Eric's office. He idolizes his uncle so much.
Cousin time!
The next day was our last full day. We drove to Snoqualmie Falls.
Beautiful.
Or should I say, beauti-falls! :)
Then we drove to North Bend.
We ate brunch at Twede's Cafe which is known for being on Twin Peaks.
French Toast and pie :)
Then we went to the North Bend Outlets. There's majestic Mount Si in the background.
Last stop: meeting up with Eric at his office. He works at Minecraft.
I don't think Fox could be any more thrilled.
SO FUN!
SO COOL!
SO AWESOME!
Eric got them all kinds of fun Minecraft merch and swag.
Thanks Uncle Eric!
The next morning we stopped once more at Blazing Bagels then flew home. Mt. Rainier and Mt. Hood(?) in the frame of the wing.
A snowstorm was predicted for the night we arrived home, the rain had just started falling as we were driving back from the airport. Thank goodness our flight wasn't canceled! We woke up to a winter wonderland. March is typically the snowiest month in Colorado so it's to be expected.
Fox and I started watching the Spring Baking Championship.
Our thermostat broke the day after the snowstorm. It was a very cold day waiting for someone to come fix it. Makes me so grateful for heat.
Nana and Papa came over for dinner at Shake Shack and a game of Chicken Feet.
In between snow the first daffodils of the year bloomed! Makes my heart so happy! It's almost flower season!
Hooray! I get the winter blues so I'm so excited we've rounded the corner into more daylight!
Some evenings it's been warm enough for our family to resume walks around the block.
We saw two movies in the theater this month: Dog and The Lost City. During the day I've been watching On the Case with Paula Zahn. On the treadmill I'm catching up with Grey's Anatomy. On Mondays I watch Spring Baking Championship with Fox. When we're in bed at the end of the day we've been watching Selling Sunset, The Dropout, Love It or List It, and of course, Friends.
So me.
Kitties, kitties, and more kitties.

They fill my heart with joy. I love that they're always there. Just like Rachel. I still miss her.

On the scrappy front! I shared 6 projects on my blog in March, but behind the scenes I made over 30 layouts and a mini album - to be shared here in April :) Here are links to projects I shared here in March from left to right:
The Patch Mini Album // BDay Babe Layout // Wild & Free Layout
Sunshine Layout // Lovely Layout // Squash Heart Mini Album

Those 30 layouts I mentioned? They're all for my 30 Days of Boy Cut Files!

I made 1 layout about Fox with each and every cut file to share daily here in April. Here is a sneak of all 30 pages!

Right after I finished making those layouts, I got a pallet delivered with product for an impromptu virtual class I'm teaching in May: a 2nd 4x4 Mini Album! The kitties "helped" me unpack everything :)

Then I spent a few days creating the sample! Gosh I love scrapbooking so much :)

Information about purchasing the kit and virtual class coming soon!

I designed 9 free cut files in March: two for my nearly weekly Newsletter, three for my Happy Scrappy Place Facebook Group, three for Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine, and one for Twilight Crop!
On Saturday March 26th I taught my March virtual classes! First a Layouts Class in the morning.
And a Squash Heart Mini Album Class in the afternoon.
The Spring 2022 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine was released and you can download and grab all kinds of bonus content for FREE HERE!
I was interviewed on @veronica_creates podcast @astorytellerspodcast!
I received my order from Zsoka Marko of A Pocket Full of Happiness filled with our collaboration dies! The only one I have left is the Nordic Christmas Flower.
March was a super busy, fun, productive, and awesome month!
Here's to a repeat in April!
