Hello friends! Jackie Ashton here today sharing a layout featuring the Stockings Background from Paige's new bundle of 25 Christmas Cut Files 2025 paired with her Very Merry Christmas collection.
I cut the Stockings Background from white cardstock, slightly smaller than 12x12, which was perfect so that I could use a piece of patterned paper as my base. I mixed papers from both the 12x12 Paper Pack and 6x8 Paper Pad, which gave me a great variety of patterns and scale. To add a bit more depth and softness, I backed a few stockings with vellum. It creates this lovely frosted look - subtle, airy, and festive. I attached the backed cut file with foam tape onto the teal striped Gift of Togetherness Paper. For my photo, I chose a simple 3x4" picture of our stockings hung, which felt like the perfect match for this cut file. I added layers of patterned paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad behind and added 3D foam to give the photograph dimension. Since the background is so colorful I kept embellishments to a minimum and added a few word strips from the Phrase Cardstock Stickers along with a tag from the Tags Ephemera Die Cuts. For the title, I used the colorful Puffy Alpha Stickers. Their bright, cheerful rainbow tones play so well with the multi-patterned stockings. To finish everything off, I sprinkled a few Enamel Dots around the clusters. This Day 16 project ended up being such a happy celebration of color, pattern, and holiday tradition. If you love backing cut files or working with lots of patterned paper, this one is incredibly satisfying to create.
