Hey friends, welcome back to the blog! Inessa Persekian here today sharing a festive new layout featuring Paige's In My Merry Era from the new bundle of 25 Christmas Cut Files 2025 along with her Very Merry Christmas collection.
For my background, I used the It's Giving Christmas Paper and added an 11x11" piece of white textured cardstock on top. I stitched around the edges to create a sparkly frame because let’s be honest, shine and shimmer are basically a core memory of the holidays. To back the In My Merry Era cut file, I mixed in pieces from the collection cover sheet from the 12x12 Paper Pack and scraps from the 6x8 Paper Pad. I started by using a circle punch to speed up the fussy-cutting process then hand-cut the remaining shapes. You can absolutely use your Cricut or Silhouette to do the backing, but you’ll need to pre-plan your papers and alignment. For this layout it felt much quicker to just hand-cut and get right to the fun part! I popped up the banner pieces on foam adhesive so they lift off the page with that extra dimension. Then I added two 3x4" photos matted on papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad to anchor the page. Embellishing might be my favorite part and this layout got the full treatment - bits from the Icon Ephemera Die Cuts, Puffy Stickers, and even a few Wood Stars. I finished everything off with a gentle splatter of gold mist from my stash for an extra holiday glow. I’m so happy with how this layout turned out - colorful, shiny, dimensional, and still focused on the photos at the heart of it.
