Hi friends! Monique Lowe here today sharing a cheerful & festive layout featuring Paige's Ornaments Border from the new bundle of 25 Christmas Cut Files 2025 along with her Very Merry Christmas collection!
This page is packed with color featuring baubles in a rainbow sequence and sweet photos of my kids decorating the tree. I began with patterned paper strips from the 12x12 Paper Pack, punched them for a lacy edge, then layered each to back the ornaments for a frilly, textured effect. I also added a touch of glimmer paste for a hint of festive sparkle. Two baubles hold some of my favorite tree decorating moments. For the background, I used white mixed media cardstock, a stencil, and clear gloss gesso. Once dry, I added watercolor in matching rainbow shades - the gloss gesso resists, keeping the stenciled details beautifully white. I used foam strips to lift the cut file for dimension, making the ornaments pop off the page. Then I added a torn strip of the Stories of the Season Paper to the top of my page for the ornaments to ‘hang’ from. Now to embellish! I added a Chipboard Sticker title, pretty florals from the Icon Ephemera Die Cuts to a few of the baubles and a festive Tag Ephemera Die Cut. To finish off, I added a scattering of stars - Chipboard and Puffy - following my rainbow theme. Thanks so much for stopping by!
