January 2026 Highlights

Here's what we were up to the first month of 2026!

This is the life. Watching baking shows with my kids with one of my kitties on my lap.

Amy loooooooves Jane. Especially her hair.

Amy also loooooooves Fox! She's such a sweetie peatie.

It snowed quite a bit one night but very surprisingly they didn't cancel school the next morning!

This is where Fox does virtual piano lessons with Aunt Bethany. He does NOT like all the little bugs that are on the plants... Sorry Foxy.

Margi came over so I could help her create "mystery books" for her events. I'm sure I've confessed this before, but I do NOT enjoy wrapping presents, I leave all that to Chris. I want my creations to last a lifetime not ripped right open and tossed in the trash!

I was toying with the idea of getting mini tattoos on my fingers and bought temporary ones to test out my vision. It's not exactly how I envisioned so no tattoos for me.

I've been trying for YEARS to figure out why I always feel sick and have headaches. Thankfully I've gotten my headaches mostly under control with hormone replacement therapy. But I still always feel sick. I'm doing testing through Function Health and had to give 12 vials of blood three times!! When all three different phlebotomists were drawing blood I told them I felt like I was being exsanguinated. They had no idea what that meant. I learned the reference on the X-Files. How do they not know that term, it's directly related to draining of blood lol.

We read a book about how to feel better and have been focusing on better/clean eating. Chris is an amazing cook.

Always love getting my hair done, my stylist curls my hair to perfection which I can never replicated.

Chris is my fitness coach and helps me heavy lift every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday and I'm super proud of the progress & gains I've made. We're swolemates!

The girls (me, my mom, my sister Allie, and my sister-in-la Tanya) are planning to run in the 5k Rock'n'Roll in Las Vegas next month. I've never run in anything in my life. So I've been doing some prep and pre-ran my first 5k at home on the treadmill. It was hard.

Of course the kitty cats are what I take the most pictures of because I'm always home and they're always with me! Sandy rarely sleeps up on the bed so I take a picture when it does happen.

Poor Phoebe has stopped eating again. Not this whole ordeal again!! I'm taking her back to the vet next week.

Speaking of the Broncos! I have been such a huge fan of our Broncos for two years now. I manifested on their very first kick-off that we'd win the Super Bowl! We have done sooooooo well this season! #1 in the NFL through week 18!!

I've got tons of merch to show my pride!

LIX rhymes with NIX (as in, our quarterback Bo Nix) so it was meant to be!

We beat the Buffalo Bills with THE Josh Allen! Yeah we did! Onto the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP BABY!

Bo Nix gave some interviews and all seemed well and good.

And then. This. Bo Nix broke his ankle (even in the above photo during his interviews, his ankle was broken!). I LITERALLY did not sleep that night, I was soooooo upset! Isn't that silly? Who am I?!

Time to STIDDY-UP Jarrett Stidham!

Things were looking pretty good! And then it snowed and everything fell apart at the stupid Patriots won. It was such a sad end to a very promising season.

I wanted it to be Broncos vs Seahawks in the Super Bowl. The Seahawks are my parent's/brother's team because they live in Seattle and I lived in Seattle for 8 years and that's where we'd go to visit my parents up until recently when they moved to Spokane which is still in Washington state. So the Seahawks are like my #2 team. Alas. Not this year. Maybe next season!!

This made me giggle.

I spent most of January creating my projects and prepping for our Take Note Virtual Weekend!

Chris helped me put the kits together. 

And then we shipped them all out. Excited for Lisa Fonseca to be here at the end of next month so we can teach at our Take Note Virtual Weekend!

I immediately started on my next project which is a virtual layouts class with Legendary.

Excited to be on the Scrapbook & Cards Today creative team!

Counting down the days until this event!

I received a butterfly sequin mini album sample from Gi! Can't wait to turn this into a kit & class!

Always lots of fun things on the horizon and in the works! We had a fabulous January and we're looking forward to all this year has in store!
