Hi creative friends! Monique Lowe here popping in with a colorful new layout to share with you! For this page, once again, I mixed Paige’s fabulous Lovely Lane and Legendary collections - because honestly, they play so nicely together!
I started by pulling out the Lovely Lane 6x8 Paper Pad and the Legendary 6x8 Paper Pad and grabbed two square punches (1 inch and 2 inch). I punched a couple of squares from most of the patterned papers then cut each square in half to create triangles. Next came the fun part! I began placing the triangles down my page - some pointing up, some pointing down - nestling them into each other like little jigsaw pieces and leaving tiny gaps between, ordering them in rainbow sequence on a white cardstock background. Once I was happy with the arrangement, I snapped a quick phone photo then removed a few pieces at a time and used the packaging technique with watercolors to add soft, tone-on-tone mixed media to the background. Once everything dried, I replaced all the triangles using my phone photo as a guide to stick them down. I planned to place my photo trio down the center, so I popped up some triangles around that area with foam squares for extra dimension. I then added my black & white photos, also raised with foam squares, and tucked Cardstock Stickers behind each one. To finish, I chose a title from the Legendary Chipboard Stickers and just like that, my layout was done! Thanks so much for stopping by!
