March 2026 Highlights

This is what we were up to in March 2026!

It snowed a lot again and still they didn't cancel school. Who's in charge lol?!

A few days later the snow was all melted and daffodils bloomed. SPRING HAS SPRUNG!!

In October 2024 we saw Rain City Drive at the Marquis in Denver and one of the opening bands we had never heard of before was Siamese all the way from Denmark. They are so good! We started listening to their music and they're now a favorite of ours. We wondered if we'd ever have the opportunity to see them in-person again because they live all the way in Copenhagen. Imagine our happiness when they announced a US tour! With a stop in Denver, we booked tickets immediately and counted down the days until at last March 12th arrived.

They had a couple opening bands, neither of which we really liked lol, but they were entertaining with their commentary between sets. "That's enough positivity, time for another song about death."

"Please buy our merch so my mom can see this is a real job."

Siamese was just as good live as they were last time!!

Jam after jam and they played a few new songs from their album releasing in June. Can't wait!

Right after the show we ran to the merch table to meet the band and we got a record signed.

Sometimes Amy gets super poofy which means she needs extra bigtime lovies. My favorite.

For Spring Break we drove down to Santa Fe and I did a separate blog post about it which you can read HERE.

Just one more from Santa Fe because it's so stunning.

We saw Project Hail Mary in the theater which was SOOOOO GOOD. Like, so good. You need to read the book first to understand it better, which Chris and I have, but even Jane loved it without reading it because of Rocky and she's hard to please, because, hashtag teenager. Can't wait for it to be on streaming to watch over and over again!

I needed new scrap material so I bribed Jane with Twisted Sugar to let me take photos of her in front of the blooming trees.

I'm so excited to scrap all of these gorgeous pics!

It's birdie time!!! On March 30th there were two eggs in the revamped nest. This is the 5th year in a row the local house finches have used this same exact nest and I love it although it does make me a bit (okay, a LOT) paranoid all summer long making sure they have the best chance of survival, i.e. hawks, falcons, magpies, and weather - it's a GLASS sconce which gets super hot on even lukewarm days.

I think this is almost a record for the amount of layouts I shared in a month, aside from April 2022 when I shared 30 layouts over 30 days for my 30 Boy Cut Files! On March 1st Lisa Fonseca was here and she taught her classes for Take Note Virtual Weekend!

I had a few days in-between assignments, deadlines, and big projects, so I whipped up my October Mini Album for 2025! You can see the finished flip through HERE. I'll do a blog post with all the photos in October when it's actually spooky season.

I did a Make With Me Monday using Legendary which is a bonus 21st layout to my 20 Legendary Layouts Virtual Class!

I did a guest design spot for Kiwi Lane and got some photos of me working on my layout.

I flipped through this layout stack with 130+ layouts! They're now all filed away by subject and chronologically in their scrapbooks.
