It's not too early to share spring-themed layouts right?! Only 8 more days until it's officially spring sooooo... today I have a layout featuring origami butterflies made with Happy Haven! I have a virtual class HERE showing how to make origami patterned paper butterflies (not this exact layout, but one very similar using Splendid).
Make 18 origami patterned paper butterflies. I made mine from the following papers in these sizes:
- pink floral at 5” square
- yellow floral at 5” square
- ladybugs at 4¾” square
- dark yellow floral at 4½” square
- white mini floral at 4½” square
- peach frames at 4¼” square
- orange floral (from the cut-apart paper) at 4” square
- pink sunburst geometric at 4” square
- white large floral at 3¾” square
- purple stripes at 3½” square
- light blue floral at 3½” square
- dark pink (from the cut-apart paper) at 3” square
- the 6 tiniest butterflies are from the cut-apart paper squares, all at 2” square
Adhere two 3x4” photos overlapping at slight angles onto the lower left side of the background then scatter the origami butterflies across the page so they’re flying from the bottom left to the top right corner. Place a blue “Joyful” cardstock sticker below the photos, tuck a small round journaling spot die cut underneath, then write a caption on it with a purple pen. Add a light pink “these are the moments” banner die cut with foam squares above the title. Sprinkle buttons from the foam and cardstock stickers into gaps between the butterflies to finish.
I hope you enjoyed this page featuring a kaleidoscope of origami patterned paper butterflies in different sizes & colors and you're inspired to check out my CLASS & HAPPY HAVEN collection!
