Hi creative friends! Monique Lowe here sharing a new layout using Paige’s awesome Legendary collection to document my son’s very first soccer hat-trick - such a proud moment and definitely one worth scrapping!
I started with a sheet of white cardstock for the background then cut a strip of the Scenes from Today Paper and stuck it vertically down the page to act as a base. Next, I cut several strips from various patterned papers in the 12x12 Paper Pack, distressed the edges, and layered them slightly diagonally across the page. I added machine stitching down the center of each strip for extra texture and detail. I backed my photo with the Living My Story Paper and stuck it down over the vertical and diagonal strips to help anchor the design. From there I began building a cluster around my photo by fussy cutting elements from various papers and the 6x8 Paper Pad. I also tucked in a couple of Ephemera Die Cuts to add more layers and interest. To finish things off, I added blue paint splatters around my photo, used Puffy Alpha Stickers for my title, and placed three star Chipboard Stickers to highlight the celebratory theme.
