Sante Fe, New Mexico for Spring Break 2026

Sunday, March 22, 2026

We asked the kids where they wanted to go for Spring Break this year and Jane said Santa Fe again! Yes yes yes!
We woke up and hit the road. Santa Fe is an easy 5-hour drive straight down I-25 and of course I brought a stitching project along to pass the time.
Chris booked us a room at The Bishop's Lodge.
I couldn't stop taking photos of the beautiful grounds and accomodations.
Once our room was ready we checked in and swooned over all the southwestern details.
Beautiful bathroom.
The kids already on their phones lol.
Chris and I had a couple's massage so off we went!
I used to hate massages. Now I love them. They always go by too quickly!
Spa waiting room.
After the massage we walked around Bishop's Lodge to see all that we could see.
For dinner we went to the SkyFire.
Everything was scrumptious.
We still needed to hit our 10k steps so we went to the gym and then walked around the paths outside.
The sunset was stunning.
I mean, WOW! Just wow!
Apparently these buildings at the very top of Bishop's Lodge are for adults only and the views are premium.
I'd love to come back and stay in one!
The next morning we went to the Two Dogs Cafe to grab some breakfast.
I brought my own oatmeal and the employee was soooo nice to take it back and microwave it for me.
Deluxe candy bars from the gift shop.
Then we drove to Bandelier National Monument.
We walked along the paved paths to see the fascinating ruins.
It was very cold and VERY windy.
So cool.
For lunch we drove back to Santa Fe to eat at Tomasita's.
The bright colors of this painted mural at our table made my heart happy.
Christmas style burrito for the win!
Jane and her plain burger lol.
We looove the huge sopapillas for dessert.
Then we walked around Santa Fe. First we stopped at the Loretto.
My mom LOVES her plushy bear that she got when they came with us for Spring Break back in 2023 so much that she wanted another one. Mission accomplished!
I bought two different pairs of gorgeous turquoise flower earrings.
Snapshots from around town.
It's our ultimate dream to have a home in Santa Fe some day and I'd love to fill it with colorful art like this.
We came upon the market and beautiful blooming trees.
Yes I've already scrapped these because, FLOWERS!
Back at Bishop's Lodge we walked around and checked out the other smaller buildings.
Smore's snack for an evening activity.
The next morning we packed up and drove home. I was able to finish my stitching project on the drive, woohoo!
We had another memorable visit to Santa Fe! Can't wait to go back again!
