Hello scrappy friends! For this layout I used my Happy Haven collection and featured 8 patterned paper wedges with heavily distressed edges and tone-on-tone embellishing!
The photos are of Fox being dropped off in a dorm room down in Colorado Springs for a week of youth camp. He was unsure about the whole thing... This was his first time away from home in a setting like this so I expected him to be a bit nervous. But at the end of the week he said he had fun! My mom aka Malm/Grandma/Grimbles was also in town because it was the same weekend we got back from our 18th anniversary trip to Aspen. We had so much fun we're going back for our 19th anniversary :) Anyhoo, Fox & Jane always love when Grandma comes to visit and she helped Fox to calm his nerves a bit.
After distressing the patterned paper wedges I layered them on a smooth white cardstock by Recollections background in a semi-rainbow order. I overlapped two square photos in the middle and then added the embellishments on top - pink on pink, yellow on yellow, blue on blue, etc, all the way around. Journaling was written on a blue scalloped oval die cut with a blue pen and tucked into the blue section to finish.
I have about 45 layouts in my "to share" folder so I'm going to try to post them almost daily until I'm caught up!
