4 Card Quartet

I'm having so much fun dabbling more into cardmaking using traditional scrapbook supplies! For this card quartet I used a few of my cut files and Truly Grateful collection.

GRATEFUL CARD how to: Trim Paper 13 with words on the front and dark blue stars on the back to 11x5½” then fold it in half with the stars on the outside to create the card base. Size the Frames Background cut file to 5.15x x 5.222" then cut it from textured white cardstock using a Silhouette Cameo 3. Adhere the die cut on top of the card, using dimensional adhesive if possible to create dimension & shadows. Fussy cut the gold “grateful” sentiment from a Journaling Spot and add it inside one of the labels. Fill in the rest of the frames with embellishments such as Puffy Stickers, sequins and wood veneer pieces from the Mixed Embellishments, and Wooden Buttons.

LOVE CARD how to: Trim (20) 1” squares from different colors and patterns found on the quilted design Paper 09. Cut the squares in half diagonally to create triangles. Move one set of triangles aside (or create two cards at once!). Cut Paper 24 with the colored triangles on the front and raspberry pink on the back to 10x5” then fold it in half with the pink on the front to create the card base. Measure 2½” down from the top and side to find the center of the card and mark it lightly with a pencil. Use foam adhesive to attach each triangle in place, paper piecing to create a quilt-like heart. Add a “LOVE” die cut from the Journaling Spots to the center, tuck an orange tab also from the Journaling Spots at the top, and add a heart wood veneer from the Mixed Embellishments. Finish by placing round Puffy Stickers tone-on-tone over 8 of the triangles.

THANK YOU CARD how to: Trim Paper 21 with the patchwork hexagons design on the front and light “x”s on the back to 5½x8½” then fold it in half to create a top-folding card with the light “x”s design showing. Size my Thank You cut file to 1.979x4.762" then cut it from textured white cardstock using a Silhouette Cameo 3. Use the inner letters to trace and cut out slightly larger letters from different colors and patterns found on the colorful patchwork Paper 09. Place liquid adhesive on the back of the die cut and use the hand cut patterned paper pieces to back it. Adhere the die cut onto the card front using foam adhesive for dimension. Cut a floral piece from the Ephemera Die Cuts in half and adhere it above the sentiment. Place an enamel heart from the Mixed Embellishments on the “A” and “O”, tone-on-tone, to finish.

YOU ARE LOVED CARD how to: Die cut my Cut and Fold Butterflies Card cut file from Paper 15 then fold it in half with the pink side showing. Bend back the butterflies to complete the “cut and fold” technique. Trim a piece of the mini floral Paper 19 to 4¼x5½” and use it to back the front of the card. Layer three Ephemera Die Cuts: a “blessed” floral banner, “You Are Loved” round sentiment, and butterfly, with foam adhesive on the right side of the card. Finish with three round Puffy Stickers placed in a visual triangle.
