Be a Light Layout by Migbell Guzmán

Wednesday, October 21, 2020

Hi everyone! Migbell Guzmán here with a new layout using Go the Scenic Route and the Lightbulbs Flowers cut file which inspired me to create the title Be a Light for All to See (Matthew 5:16).

First, I cut the Lightbulbs Flowers cut file from white cardstock and backed it with Paper 14 from the 6x8 Paper Pad - the yellow color for me means light. To create contrast I chose Paper 2 for the background because it reflects the colors of the heavens. Then I used Paige's Heart Confetti Stencil with modeling paste to add texture. On the cables of the bulbs I glued embroidery thread in two tones: gray and white.

I chose a black & white photo to create contrast sized to 3" square. I then proceeded to cut out the florals of Paper 18 from the 12x12 Paper Pad and the same flowers but smaller from the 6x8 Paper Pad to decorate. To put the final touches on my page I added Floral Die CutsCardstock StickersFoam Thickers, and Puffy Phrase Thickers - all from Go the Scenic Route.

Thanks for visiting Paige's blog! I hope you liked my design and it inspired you in some way. Let us be a light with our life for those who surround us and see us. See you in my next post - blessings!

  2. Just in love with this LO Migbell! I read that you glued on the baker twine and I think that's so brilliant. It looks just like stitching. I especially love the floral bouquets in the bulbs and your design reasons for choosing the colours you've worked with. Just dear 🧡🥰
