Stitching Fun Layout by Anita Bownds

Friday, October 30, 2020

Hi there crafty friends, Anita Bownds here and I’m super excited to share a layout using Go the Scenic Route - it’s such a beautiful collection with all the pretty colors and I wanted to document my counted cross stitch that that I love doing.
I started with white cardstock trimmed down on two sides to mat on a mint floral/bird paper from the 12x12 Paper Pad and adhered it down. Then with my Silhouette Cameo I cut out Paige's Embroidery Hoop cut file and Leaf cut file from white cardstock. Then I cut out one of the Layered Flowers from a yellow paper in the 12x12 Paper Pad. I used a blue paper from the 12x12 Paper Pad to back the Leaf. I then backed the Embroidery Hoop with Paper 16 and Paper 22 and added it to the center of the layout, popped up on foam tape.
I matted my photo on papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad and tucked it just underneath the edge of the heart, then I added the Layered Flowers and placed Chipboard Stickers on the centers and adhered them down. I then fussy cut flowers from Paper 18 and tucked them around the flowers. I also tucked in the Leaf underneath each cluster.
I added a few fussy cut flowers tucked underneath the bottom of my photo and one on the corner. I then tucked a tag from the Ephemera Die Cuts in the photo layers and added a Puffy Phrase Thickers to the bottom of the photo. I added a big title going around the top left side of the hoop using the Foam Thickers, a Puffy Phrase Thickers, and a few hearts also from the Puffy Phrase Thickers.
I hope you have enjoyed my layout today and happy crafting!
