Hi there! Here is a double-page I taught how to make during the 2026 Crop & Create Delivered Papercrafting Event with Scrapbook & Cards Today using my Crafted Moments collection with Pinkfresh Studio and my Kite for Stitching Cut File!
I must confess we've never flown kites together as a family, but I had a vision in my head of hand stitched colorful kites dancing across the pages and thus this project was born!
I chose 7 patterned papers from Crafted Moments to create kites and did tone-on-tone hand stitching to spruce them up and add texture & interest. After scattering the kites across the spread I placed all my Easter Sunday family photos across the bottom and adhered Floral Die Cuts and buildings next to the pics to anchor the scene.
Then came decorating! I mostly added Floral & Butterfly Die Cuts tone-on-tone on the kites and then added a few more things to make it look more like a "sky" such as clouds punched from white cardstock scattered between the kites, a sun and hot air balloon from the Ephemera Die Cuts, and butterfly & bee Puffy Stickers flying around.
To finish I glued white string "kite tales" and wrote journaling on an Ephemera Die Cut. I loved putting this spread together and teaching it virtually during the event! Be sure to check out my "FIND ME HERE" page to see all the upcoming goings-ons in my scrappy corner of the world!
